wow

lovely "coffee" color ? I wonder what the actual name of that color was and I don't think they used that color for to many years. Frigidaire called it "honey beige" I think.

Woodtone Brown. It was one of 6 in GE's pre-1960 "Mix or Match" pallette including Petal Pink, Canary Yellow, Turquoise Green, Cadet Blue(my favorite) and, are you ready, white.

And yes, severe typo here, or the worst copy editor GE ever employed, the copy actually reads, "Traumatize[sic] your home with GE's new built-in appliances!" The copy goes on to say that GE's products add drama to rooms. Oy.

I have a double wall oven in this color in like new shape. Each oven is huge; they will hold two Bundt pans on one shelf, just like the master oven in my 1956 Liberator.

GE ads showed kitchens with woodtone brown and yellow. Whenever I saw the two colors together, it made me think of the chocolate frosting my mother used to make. The cocoa and confectioners' sugar sifted into the bowl had this light brown color and the pieces of butter had the bright yellow color.

Or a silly webmaster who needs someone to come in a forcibly remove Photoshop from his computer.

As you probably know-

I am no fan at all of electric cooking, and even less a fan of pushbutton GE's, but OMG...that is one SERIOUSLY pretty electric range. I wouldn't have such a reaction to it in any other colour.

Thanks for posting it, Dan
