Not sure if this has been posted before, but I like the style and some aspects of the machine featured. I am not a fan of the plastic tub, lid lock, lack of brake, indexing tub and cheapened components but the rest still beats most of what you will find today. I actually like the style of control panel and side opening lid. I wouldn't mind this style being applied to a Maytag of Whirlpool product.

I've see it before. I wish we could see the GE sails training video. I want to know what they actually did unlike the stupid commercials lied to us about.

It’s interesting that they ‘simulated 40 years of use’, meanwhile you don’t see ANY Kelvinator machines around from that era.

There’s literally Maytags and Whirlpools from that era which are still around 40 years later.

Very cool video ! Would like one from this era in collection,but these were nowhere near as common as the usual brands of the time-hardly saw these at the dump even back in '82-83, but did find one about 1980 that was partly disassembled and drug remains home for exam. I think this franklin design was made from about 1973-89 before replaced with larger capacity "Horizon 2000" design that was similar underneath. a couple good points of these Franklin washers include a good face type main seal,good clutch belt,milkstool suspension,all metal transmission,6-way wash action and more. Distinctive sound from these tough but cheaply made washers... I have a 1989 with angel wing 10 vane agitator in collection and should rotate into use.
