The "Sex-Light" Kenmore! I found this white washer last year, gets used a lot. Full-featured and I love the Quiet-Pack, it's nearly silent running. I keep thinking I have way too many machines and this washer may need a new home, but then I waver...

Local Assistance

Don't know why the owner is impatient - it's been on CL for a couple of weeks locally.  Nobody's beating the door down to get it apparently.  However, I'd be willing to help faciliate the acquisition of the dryer and hold it until the transit aspect is developed?  Let me know - I've got a van - it wouldn't be a problem.  It would be in good company with a few other kenmores, tags, and one lonely frigidaire - in my garage.

I'm a big Quiet-Pak fan myself.  My mom's had the Penta-Swirl agitator which was impotent on large loads, but it served to keep even the sound of sloshing water down to a minimum.  That machine never needed anything more than one belt change and a filter, both operations performed by me when I was a teenager.  It was mechanically sound after 25 years of use when Mom elected to replace it because she smelled a foul odor when the tub began to fill.  Likely just a hose that needed replacing, but I was relaxing at a Puerto Vallarta villa at the time without the slightest idea that a super BOL GE would be in the Kenmore's place next time I paid her a visit.
