NICE GE TL PORTABLE DW

This is the first design of the GE TL portable DW that really worked well and this was the final style of GE TL portable DWs. This would make a good daily driver for someone who wants or needs a TL portable DW, the TL portables take up the least floor space in tight kitchens, this would also make a great 2nd DW for someone, I have a KA TL portable tucked in the corner of my kitchen that can be used when the two built-ins are full and I am to lazy to unload them.

I really wish I could go for that coppertone 606 pair but I can't.  And I love it, the dryer is electric, wihch is my only option.

BTW...

Make me an offer on any of these.

They need to go soon. Or they wiil go on CL and someone will abuse the crap out of these. (Hopefully Not). Any one in New England down to NJ I can meet you somewhere.

Hey Martin... Break the Avocado Streak and add some Coppertone to your stash !!! LOL

Those are nice. Love the top-loading dishwasher. And of course the Maytags are amazing. Just wondering, the dryer door knob does not look like the one I am used to see. It looks like a kitchen cabinet door knob. Correct me if I am wrong.

I wish I could take them in.

AWESOME!

Love the Coppertone Tag. I remember being on the showroom floor of Times Square Store on Long Island where I grew up, and seeing a Coppertone model. I am not sure what model it was, but it could very well have been an A606 like this one featured. I wanted it so badly every time I saw it there, and remember being quite pissed when somebody finally bought it. How I wished I could have had it.

I hope somebody snatches this up fast and gives it a good home like it deserves.

Good luck,
James

China

There is an interesting story behind these dishes. They are from a restaurant on the Cape that was once called "The Yankee Clipper". At one point the Clipper got sold to a friend of mine and she bought all new dishes for the restaurant. As years went by she decided to get rid of this pattern and asked me if I would like a place setting for 8 or so. The glaze on these dishes is just amazing. They have to be at least 50 years old and even after all the meals that have been served on them (commercially and residentially) they still look great.
The Pattern is called "Indian Tree" and they were made in England by Wood's Burslam . I always say I should get some everyday dishes, but I like these so much, why not use them everyday ?

@ Kevin... Are you serious ?
I should have been more specific and stated 1/2 way on the East coast and as far south as NJ... but hey I just don't want to see these nice machines go to the crusher.

AARGH! I would love to have a Coppertone GE top-loader in the collection... Think hubby would notice this one?? He walked around the Electra that came from the Cape for nearly three weeks... LOL

Indian Tree dinnerware

My dad's Aunt Hazel had a set in this pattern; however hers were on a lighter weight body as they weren't restaurant ware. Have no idea what brand hers were, but I know they were old.

Didn't think about yours being from England. Shenango China Co. of New Castle, PA, which was one of the largest manufacturers of institutional china, was just one of several companies making this pattern.

Bump ...

Last call for the Northeast and East Coast.

I hate to do this but they will go on CL within the next week. Sigh... I thought maybe someone would want these.

Bob, I'll drive these to you or some place close by...
