The items in the photo below came today, courtesy of an Etsy seller who priced them reasonably and didn't want the contents of Fort Knox for shipping.

They are a Corelle serving bowl and a Pyrex Compatibles Cinderella casserole, both in the Snowflake Blue pattern I collect. The bowl is the 8-inch size (Corning also made a 10-inch size), and the casserole is the 1-1/2 pint size I find so convenient for microwaving large cans of soup, etc.

I'm looking for three more of the casseroles, another of the bowls and two of the 10-inch bowls, should anyone stumble across any. But I'm happy these two goodies are here - I'm in the home stretch on the Snowflake Blue service I had hoped to assemble.

Very Nice Sandy!

I have always loved this pattern of Corelle / Pyrex.  Suddenly I am finding it in Thrift Stores!!!  I never thought I would.

It truly is my favorite pattern.

If you find any of the serving bowls and don't need them yourself, please feel free to contact me via a PM or at the email address in my profile. Same with the Cinderella casseroles.

You might want to know - this is an uncommon pattern. It was one of the first four patterns of Corelle Livingware introduced in 1970; the others were Butterfly Gold, Spring Blossom Green and Winter Frost White.

Snowflake Blue was the first Corelle pattern to be discontinued, in February, 1976. Old Town Blue was introduced in '74, and became the replacement for Snowflake Blue.

Also, soup/cereal bowls and the smaller dessert/berry bowls are HTF. This is because all Corelle patterns came with plain white bowls from 1970 to 1972. When the patterned bowls were introduced in late '72, that left only three-and-a-half years where Snowflake Blue-patterned bowls were ever made.

Because of the early discontinuance, Snowflake Blue is a little harder to find, and some pieces available in most Corelle patterns aren't available at all. There never were soup plates in the pattern. The selection of Pyrex Compatibles in the pattern is pretty good, but again, a couple of things were never made. The gravy boat and the Parkay Margarine promotional soft margarine dish are two examples.

Good to see another collector!

Thanks for the information Sandy.

I think that someone donated their set and they are being distributed to all of the stores in Atlanta instead of just one.  (Value Village) I was excited to find a 5 dinner plates, then a server, then a 7 of the 'lunch' size plates.  I am finding them all over the Atlanta Value Village stores.  So I am thinking Value Village busted up the set. Hopefully I will find most of what is out there.

If I find any extras I will definitely keep you in mind.
