Pyrolytic self-cleaner
So what else can safely go in there boys?
FASCINATING JUST FASCINTATING.
I had a gas self cleaner that put ridiculous levels of heat in the room during an *incineration* cycle. The good part was with no heating rod/element on the bottom (naturally.) Heavy wares and goods can go right on the oven floor, as long as the heat /air vents are not blocked. (without the need for an oven rack).
Aluminum? really?
Gas stove grates and porcelain(black) burner underliners was my favorite *trick* when I was a professional cleaner. Teh broiler pan is sometimes a necessity too.
Trick is, IMHO not to open the door after the cycle until cool. I believe a too rapid cool-down puts hairline cracks in procelain finishes.
