Recently, I've been sampling random detergents from a myriad of places--most recently Oxydol from the Dollar Tree. Tonight I was hanging out in the detergent isle at the Super Target sniffin' the "Up & Up (Target Brand) liquid laundry detergent -- FRESH BREEZE". I SWEAR it's Dynamo. Anyone else experienced this? I purchased the fabric softener of the same scent and it smells nothing like the detergent...smells like dollar store brand softener. But those 1980s Dynamo memories came flooding back for sure. We can no longer purchase Dynamo anywhere around here and if I remember correctly, the last time I saw Dynamo at Wal*Mart 10 years ago, it didn't smell the same as the original...but strangely this "Up & Up" version does. Thoughts?

You know, I purchased a bottle of the Up & Up detergent in the Fresh Breeze scent last month and thought the same thing as you. It does smell like the original Dynamo. It took me a while to figure it out. Glad I am not the only one who thought that, lol. It seems to work well enough although, I haven't tried it on any heavily soiled loads.

I am disappointed in the cleaning results. 
Couldn't even get a fresh gravy stain off a shirt. Oh well, the scent is intoxicating, so I will probably just use it with sheets and blankets. Thumbs down on the fab softener (for scent anyway).
