Hi Guys

Found a couple of machines at the weekend which although we havn't really got the space I couldn't resist.

First is a virtually brand new Hoovermatic De Luxe T5054 which is dated July 1984. It looks like it was used a couple of times then sat in the corner of a kitchen for 24 years! The back cord and hose had that thick layer of "Fluffy" dust where it had been accumilating so long. It only needed a few relacement items thankfully, due to them perishing as the machine had not been used.

The second item was a Creda Compact 3 Tumble dryer from the late 1970s I believe. I have always liked the drop down door Credas so I couldn't walk past it. Havn't cleaned out the insides yet but she works a treat.

Better view of the transfer. The only shame was the machine didn't have the transfer on the front of it which would have read..."HOOVER.....TIME SAVING TWIN TUBS"

Hi and thanks for the pics.
Your hoovermatic is gorgeous!
You can see a French hoovermatic very similar but it has not autorinse, (in MES MACHINES EN PHOTOS then Hoover), and a French model (MES MACHINES EN PHOTOS then FLANDRIA and in videos with a spray rinse.

Mark,

Great finds there!

Wow they are absolute stunners we must say!

Love the Creda - we have 2 of the previous 275 models here - they are both subject to transplanting of parts to make 1 good one which should make good fun this week when we see whats what.

Nice to see the HM still has its sales stickers on after so many years!

My recently aquired Turbomaster still has its sales stickers and it really adds to it and sets the vac off a treat for a good ol photoshoot.

Hoovermatic

Nice pair there Mark, look very new & chipper!! This is my favourite colour of the later Hoovermatics, Hoover where never afraid of colour but whatever possessed them to go with pinkk/mauvy/beige on that last U5090 spinners only know!!!

Those Credas have not changed a jot in all the time they have been made, indeed a timeless classic!!!

enjoy, Mike

Hi Bert

Thanks for your comments and I love your site! Great to see other machines from another country.

Hey Rob / Paul

Just realised I mentioned the turbomaster in your posting when the pictures are in this posting!
Thanks for your comments. It was a case of just couldn't go past them. We all know how difficult it is to walk away from a machine!
I hope the coming together of the 2 375s goes well. My friends mum had a 375 for many years and she may still have it. Last time I saw it , it was in the garage looking a right old state and the vent hose was knackered beyond belief but the dryer was working away quite happily like it wasn't its
age at all.

Hey Mike!

Thanks for your comments. Your right about the colour. The black and green looks great together. Apart from the silver/orange colour scheme this is my second favourite.
And like you say the Creda is a timeless classic. There are still so many about but every time I see one I still think they look so good.

Hi Mark

Thanks for sharing these. My mother had that Creda dryer. I nearly broke it because I put all my teddys in it and then added washing powder and watched it go around. If you held the door open adjar you could see it work. I must have been 4 at the time. I remember getting a smack LOL and my mother having to vacuum it out. It lasted until the mid to late 80s when it was replaced by a very noisy Hotpoint compact dryer.

The one with the window...

Hey Toggle..

That would be an Electrolux Insight Dishwasher- sadly now discontinued :(

Kinda wish id got one now!

Creda Dryer

Is that a mechanical timer? We had a very similar looking machine branded "New World", purchased in the 1966-69 time frame, so it seems they travelled down under as well.

BTW, I'm still using my U5094 cleaner, although it's the lighter "lilac", not the deep purple. Somebody posted the video of the British TV ad for it not long ago. Brilliant machine and one I'll be sad to see go if it ever gives up the ghost.
