CRACKED CATHEDRAL

Oopsie. Had one stick horribly on me today. Ripped it right in two. I tried using regular pam and putting on flour..but this was the result. Accept no substitutes for Pam with Flour for baking.

Miraculously I was able to somewhat dislodge the upper parts of the cathedral and hope to put strawberry glaze between the two layers and cover the whole thing with Fudge icing. I'll post a photo of the restored cathedral in just a few hours.

I'm also firing up the ice cream churn with strawberry ice cream later today as well.

First time for everything.

It turned out great, and smells like a box of chocolates, only bigger.

Vanilla bundt with strawberry glaze inside and on top, and covered in Fudge icing, served with home made strawberry ice cream.

(no chocolate icing though. Scrape the chocolate off, I'll have just the cake.)

OMG it was outrageous! Best cake ever, I swear.

Took it to band practice tonight and we 5 guys ate up 3/4 of it in a blink. And the Strawberry ice cream was just perfect. I used a recipe from my 1949 Meta Given's Modern Encyclopedia of Cooking for that. I had it all ready and just plugged in my pink ice cream churn at the beginning of our jam session and in about 2 hours it was ready.

I may be able to get a photo of it's delicious pinkness tomorrow.

Just goes to show you can have what seems like a ruined cake and have it turn out to be the best ever.

I don't cook, but I inherited Meta Given's Modern Encyclopedia of cooking, with the contents of my house. That cake made me fat, without eating any! What kind of group are you in?
