Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Definitely a Blythe Bridge built machine. They never seemed as common as Hotpoint or Hoover, but I did use an Electra badged one in a holiday cottage once. Not sure about the date, but it's probably mid to late 80s.

One of the last proper Creda machines before they started to re-badge Hotpoints. The main thing I remember was it was a pain to change the drum bearings as the front does not come off.

looks like a nice Creda there, definitely a late true Creda before a similar design was used on reskinned Hottie's, I think this could be made in January 1991 as it has 191 at the end of the serial number, but once u've restored it, I'll greatly look forward 2 see it in action as I've never really seen 1 working lol :)

I think this will be about the closest i get to find my beloved child hood Ti Creda machine, Great knowing it was produced in the same factory.

Hopefully it won't be long Neil. The parts have been ordered, so while i'm waiting for them to arrive i will tidy up the paint work.

Excellent!!
And if memory serves, the wash cycle and spins should be almost identical to my Nan's 83 electra 11500,the rinse water level may not be as high! But just the sight of that drum fills me with nostalgia :)

Just spotted this...

Hey Craig, just noticed this beauty! I haven't been on here for a while...but really nice to see the Creda Super Speed coming out the wood works. As we've discussed before, these are one my favourite series of machines. What's the update? Did you manage to find the door, etc?

Hass.

PS: If I am correct is was these series of machines that spun anti clock wise...right? :)

Luckily the door parts i need are still available but are currently on back order. I'm just waiting for the stock to arrive & yes this machine spins anti clock wise. Can't wait to get it up & running & to video it in action.
