Sorry for delay in responding - playing catch up on the forum this evening!

Great save with the 17032 - one of the final series of Creda machines, before they became Hotpoint 95's in drag.

Smart styling and pleased that you are able to procure a new door for it (hopefully!), so we can see some videos soon!
Never saw a proper Creda in action, despite having a 10500 at the top of the street.
Always makes me sad to remember the classic machines that I grew up with and that we would love to see again today.

The 191 definitely has something to do with it and I would agree with Alan about it being January 1991.

Still waiting for the parts Paul.

The door catch has an available due in date of early December but still no word regarding the door hinge. I could kick myself because i came across a matching Dryer a week before i got the Washer & i'm sure it had the same door hinge.

Sadly I never did get the replacement door parts, but I did get to watch it going through a full cotton cycle, was expecting more from this machine but the programming was rather boring.

as it's the only classic UK made washing machine that I still haven't seen in action yet, I'd like a rough idea as to what it does during a normal wash programme, I know it'll be the usual soak & rain affair but after hearing many rumours on these, do they actually spin anti-clockwise? cos I think the spin cycle is interesting on these so I know that similar models will do the same when it comes to programming.

Optima (reply#12) mentions seeking a machine from the past. What 'model number' (from the front panel) or 'type number' (from the rear data-plate) are you seeking??? I live adjacent to the old Creda works, and the local second-hand shops still have Creda machines in them (employees bought them at 'staff discount', so there were LOTS of them around here). I can keep any eye open for you, and let you know if I spot one. Sadly, I'm not a 'paid-up' member, so I cannot send you a 'private message', but can append to this thread.

That's a shame! It must be more and more difficult as the years go on to find parts for these kind of machines,
The classic Creda/Electra machines are as rare as hens teeth these days! I'd love to find a 11500 or a 11400 crusader model
Are you keeping the machine or will you wait in hope for a part?

I had to let the Creda 17032 Supaspeed go Neil,

Today I got hold of basically the same machine in the form of an Electra 17018 Electronic Deluxe 1150. It is in perfect working condition.

If you are parting the 17032 out would be interested in it for parts etc, especially the AEG motor and wiring loom, cant let these rare specimens go to waste!!

So I take it there are no parts from the earlier credo you got rid of, like the AEG motor?

Great stuff! I've been watching the videos on YouTube of the electra 17018 spin cycles and they seem slightly different to what i remember from my nan's 11500 model,
If my memory is right the old style creda/electra was just one continuous spin up to 1000rpm,where the 17018 has a short spin before redistributing and doing the final 1150 spin,and also the distribution seems shorter before going into the spin,
I've loved seeing the videos,great feeling of nostalgia! Hopefully many more posts to come from these awesome machines
