Thanks, Launderess.
I did not expect to win the Crosley Wringer Washer, but I did for $50.00. LOL, I was to pick up the 12th but blew the date due to the fact of not checking my e-mail.

I'm working on it. Since this is the weekend, I may have to wait until Monday to finalize the transaction.
One thing about this washer is that the agitation is fast/brisk, like the regular GE Activator.

Hope things work out for you.

As have said often enough, HBid isn't eBay. Some sellers are more amenable to working things out regarding collection than others.

Since one's CC is charged not long after hammer falls and via contractual agreement if item isn't collected on time a buyer may end up forfeiting that payment.

However in many instances one believes what also happens is good number of these sellers are doing estate auctions. Thus they may only have access to premises on a certain date and time. Once that window closes that may be that...

IIRC these Crosley wringer washers were made in Mexico by a subsidiary of GE (MABE). But then again you already knew this, *LOL*.

GE long had ceased making wringer washers or even their semi-automatic twin tub units early on. General Electric saw where things were going and focused on fully automatic washing machines.

Thus it is odd but not unusual they would still produce such machines in Mexico (after a fashion) well into 1990's under Crosley name.
