This guy borrowed one of our sacktrucks at work said he had a washing machine to bring down.

He turned up loaded with a Hoover A3260 :-)

Well well i thought one good turn deserves another.

Quick chat about it, it leaks (not too surprising in view of its age)
Bit tatty around the edges but i am a suckah for old Hoover 1100s so I got in the car.

First pic is it arriving, strangely I didnt tell the guy to put it by the electrical skip but led him straight round to the back of car

Bet you were expecting a bit of modern plastic to come rolli

Would love to have seen your reaction when that got wheeled in! did you see the front or back first?

How do Gary.

Well, by my reckoning, you have now got half of the set of 2nd generation electrons!

A3256, A3258 and now this A3260.

Few dabs of paint around its 'arse' front will sort out the frontal visuals. Barring that, a mere spring clean should see it come up trumps.

Congrats on the new acquisition.

Still no sign of an A3252 round door budget electron? Thats the missing link machine to complete the set amongst us all.

aghast

was my reaction, i saw the side and back first, thought Fek me its an OOVAH!........ so i walked up to him at the gate and walked him straight round the back to my car.

Over the years i have learnt that when some one says i have an old washing machine to get rid off, that can mean anything from a 2-3 year model to a 30-40 year old model

It was nice to see a Hoover turning up though.

August has been a productive month for machines, first the Parnell tumble dryer (motor burnt out), then the Hotpoint Aqualtis, then the Hoover computer control and now this Hoover 1100.

But yes Paul to get one of the not so common low end Hoover models would be a real find :-)

Anyway i will drop it off at the garage today and try and fit it in......

Speak later Paul

hotpoint 95622

A rotpoint !!!

Can’t imagine what a rotpoint is, never heard of the manufacture before, bet it is built very well to a high standard.

The Rotpoint Name

Well Lee apart from my Hotpoint toploader which was a beautifully built and designed machine, my only other experience with Hotpoints is the old 1837 thingy i have with the rapidly Rotting backplate and the 800 at work where the metal base under the shock absorbers had split and fractured........ oh and of course the especially brittle plactic they used on so many of there machines :-(
so the name Rotpoint came to mind :-)
I wont commment the Aqaultis...........Yet!

Anyway matey i still like old Hotpoints :-)
