OMG

That was my best friend Lori stove, also in WI. It even looks like their kitchen. I don't know if their had the outlets on the control panel.

It is a weird set up because the control panel is in the wall. You would have had to wire that separate from the stove? Her mother replaced the stove with another GE slide in range in Almond in like 1983. And by then GE had consolidated the controls onto the front of the stove and so even though they replaced the stove, they had to leave the control panel otherwise they had a hole in the tiles. lame.

kewl pic, thanks, such memories

That was GE's Mark 27 range. It came in three models. Most basic one, JM61 had the surface unit buttons in the middle of the front between the oven dials. They were in two rows, front on the bottom and rear on top to match the pattern of the units. The next model, JM64 had a clock on the front in the right corner, making Time Bake possible, the buttons in the middle, and the Oven Set and Oven Temp dials at the left, with an outlet. It was available with a window door as model JM65. Neighbors with a huge home had this MOL model in their kitchen, which I thought was kinda small with only one 8 inch surface unit. The TOL model pictured in the ad was model JM67. One outlet was timed and could be set to have coffee made by the time you got out of bed. The other outlet was a rgular one. The ovens were the size of the 27" built in wall ovens so they shared the doors.
