I know in the past people have talked about long cycle times with fl washers. I just put a load in my dd KM washer at 5:00 p.m. EST using the 2nd rinse option and the full 14 minutes.

I never timed it before, but it clocked in at 65 minutes from start to finish which is not bad considering the machine has to fill the 3.2 cf basket 3 times.

Having said that, i don't think i would mind a fl machine with it's multiple rinses clocking in at just over an hour.

No point to this post really,..i just wanted to see how much longer it takes with the extra rinse, seeing as i am using Tide and that is almost mandatory with that detergent.

My FL 2003 Frigidaire goes just a shade over an hour with the extra rinse added to the Heavy Soil, Whites cycle. They chopped off a few minutes from the cycle (as compared to my first-issue '96 Electrolux-made Frigidaire) by dispensing with the spin between the 2nd and 3rd rinses when you choose the extra rinse option. Frankly, I'd like that spin back; I like the idea of the clothes being 'wrung out' after each rinse. In fact, I'd gladly trade the 3-minute fluff and tumble at the end of each cycle for that extra spin ... Wouldn't it be cool if we could program cycles exactly the way we wanted them?
