Reopening the subject of the Samsung wall-of-water dishwasher...

*ducks and runs*

Meanwhile...the scientists provide absolutely no indication where one should place a lasagna pan that is crusted with both tomato carbohydrates and cheesy proteins!

I was thinking that the orbital spray arms (Smeg, Electrolux) might be a better bet for reaching all parts of the wash cabinet.

I remember reading before, that Which? smeared jam on the door-inner panel as a test of self-cleaning ability. One of the higher end Bosch models didn't do too well in the test. At the time, I remember thinking that the reason was likely because the spray jets were re-engineered and angled to attack dishes, rather than spraying the cabinet walls.

Really

Radioactive isotopes, why not just put a window in it and watch what the water is doing?  OR put a camera inside and watch the action.

My cutlery basket actually sits on the right side next to the wall.  Though I don't claim to be the master, I rarely, yes sometimes something doesn't come clean, but it is rare that I take something out that isn't clean.

I do agree with the overload part.  There used to be a time you could practically pack a dishwasher and everything would come clean.  That's because it had enough pressure and heat to wash the dishes.  Now that they gently cascade luke warm water over the dishes for two or three days you have to make sure the water can reach the soiled surfaces.

"luke warm water over the dishes for two or three days&#

I agree. If they would only use increased spray pressure, then they might get away with lower temperature washes.
