Flimsy
I too felt that the Danby was a little flimsy, I had a 2007 model with the integrated lids. I did however enjoy it, and the wash action, while not what I was expecting (machine could probably have a pulsator in the bottom and work well), it did wash well. I still see the need to reprogram the GENTLE mode as it turns more one way than it does the other. Also if you barely hold the time during an agitation stroke the agitator will continue to spin in whatever direction, which is kinda neat to watch. I gave my DTT-420 to my mother who now has a Haier. It got a button in the pump and the piping is very delicate underneath, most being glued together. It was damaged new in shipping and has a huge dent and gash in it, it now sits in storage.
I still find it neat that a twin-tub is made still though, and I think they are competent machines nonetheless.
