looks European or possibly UK made-looks like there may be some molding date roundrels on the inside of the door above the hinge,might help date the dryer.

That is SO adorable
, perfect for those whose living arrangements frown upon personal laundry equipment in one's home...should look out for one myself as I recall the most frustrating part of our condo living, next to us waiting for a washer, was an available dryer! Small and 110 volt beats drip-dry anyday... imho

Its not a Simpson.
Its a Hoover Dryer from the 70's to early 80's. After this style came the Hoover Apollo models that consisted in one form or another until Hoover disappeared. As far as I'm aware, all of the Hoovers were made by Hoover in Sydney, under license and then as the model evolved as a unique Hoover design.
Its design came from F&P in New Zealand, they were sold as F&P's and Kelvinators here in that form factor until the early 1990's. These ones were made in NZ.

There are current versions available
Badged as Whirlpools and made in China.
They are the same basic design as the Hoover Apollos, right down to the drying rack that was available as an option.
