Dash Patents Callling all Dash Patents

Hey All:
If any of you have boxes of Dash lying around would you look them over for patent numbers, on the later boxes they would put these numbers up. I am researching the Dash formulation, it looks simple enough.

If I get the correct formulation I'll start making Dash by Jetcone for the club again!

OK Jon, its a good thing I backed the pickup into my parking space at work so I could peel right out, Code 3, since I know what an emergency it is that you get these patent numbers ASAP. I ran right home over lunch at looked at my boxes of Dash from the early 60's for you...

Louis: Yes, I know all those lights and sirens and then I forget until 15:11 to post those numbers. At my age that seems to happen more and more, at least I think it does.

First Patent digested!

Its a good thing Robert acted in a Blue Light Special manner because now I read the first patent over breakfast on the deck this morning.

It gives the DASH formulation in several variations, whats nice is the patent is dated 1955!

I am now guessing that they came up with the name based on the need! In the patent is says they noted "how high sudsers in tumbler type washers created a cushion effect preventing the laundry from (dashing --my word) against the fins of the tumbler. The best cleaning is when you have a detergent solution and lots of vigorous action in a front loader".

FRom that this was their thinking in 1955:
It turns out the best detergents are the high sudsers, so C&P went about trying to add suds suppressors to the mix!

Now the next step is to buy the chems and mix them and try it out.
Then find the right industrial fragrance.

Now I want to know just how different the current HE detergents are from the Sacred DASH!

The only obstacle I see is some of these compounds are liquid and have to be spray dried which is not something I have had any experience with.

Will keep you all updated as things proceed!

You can put me down for a box too. Wash your clothes in Dash & then hang them outside to dry. That is good old-fashioned heaven on earth.

Well Kiddies

I now know what the secret ingredient is that makes DASH a low sudser! And most of the other ingredients as well. I LOVE PATENT SURFING!

I will reveal the secret ingredient on Wash Monday and leave the weekend for you speculate...................

Hint..........its very common, almost obscenely so
