Got a funny phone call today from my nutty sister. You may find this funny too. She has a Kenmore HE2T washer.

So she calls and asks me how to get the black residue out of the detergent drawer in her washer. I said take it out and rinse it clean in hot water. Maybe add a little bleach to the water. She said "It's a hard residue, I don't think it's mold.
I said "Then what could it be?" Her answer "The All Pods I am using don't ever dissolve all the way and while the detergent gets used the POD plastic case stays in the detergent drawer and leaves a residue behind! I asked her "Doesn't that clog up the detergent drawer?" She responded "Yes it does but I use a screwdriver to poke a hole in the residue every now and then!"

I asked her if she read the instructions on the detergent package? I told her you put the pod in the washer then add the clothes! The Pod does not go in the detergent drawer! Her response? "Well if it's a detergent, why don't you put it in the detergent drawer first?"

My sister and her husband never fail to amaze us with their absolute total lack of any common sense.

A few years ago her husband was complaining that at the gas station the diesel fuel filler hose wouldn't fit into the fuel tank opening. He wanted to use diesel fuel in his car because it was cheaper at the time than regular fuel. His car does not have a diesel engine....

How those two have come this far is totally amazing to us. BTW, my sisters FL washer is now 9 years old, she only does cold washes and rinses, always keeps the doors shut so the cats won't use the machines as litter boxes and there is not one off smell of any mold in the machine at all. That is another amazing fact!

When they built the house they are in she threw away her Kirby and bought a Rumba vac, she said that's all she needs. We are now in the 10th year of home ownership with nothing but a Rumba ever used to vacuum it. Even with 4 cats and 2 dogs!

We haven't been there in 7 years. And then there is the lady down the street with windows screwed shut...etc. Where do these people come from? How come they always find me!???

Dumb sisters... who doesn't have or know one?

I gave a Mueller Special washer-dryer to my sister and she said the machine was terrible because it stained clothes, didn't clean well and there was too much lint transfer.

The moment she said it I wondered WTF could have happened because that washer-dryer uses lots of water.

Months later I arrived at her home just in time to listen to the end of cycle buzzer. I went there and unloaded the machine.

I found bath towels, white T-shirts, socks and underwear, black pants, blue jeans, kitchen towels, and even a mop IN THE SAME LOAD!

All washed in the quick cycle. Cold water, only one rinse.

Her excuse was: "But if I sort, I'll have to do several loads and it's going to waste elctricity water and detergent." I just can't belive my sister is an eco-nazi pig.
