I've never had luck growing a blood orange.

 

Lemons, on the other hand, grow like weeds and produce bumper crops as witnessed by this one in our far back yard that gets no special treatment.

 

You know what they say when you've got lemons . . .

Make Lemonade!

Heck, it's been warm enough these past few days so I put the juicer attachment on the KA mixer and made a batch.  Six lemons produced almost three cups of juice.

Yeah, the lemonade was good but if I had access to blood oranges I'd be juicing them all the time!   Lemons are handy to have, but a dwarf tree would provide all I usually need.  I would much rather have a bumper crop of juice oranges or mandarins instead.

 

I'm going to put the word out to friends and family and hope to move a bunch of lemons out of here.  A lot of branches are arching downward from the weight.  The problem is that this is kind of like trying to pawn off zucchini during the summer.  So is everybody else.
