Desperately Seeking Soapmaster - Voorhis Tiebout

On the outside chance that anyone has ever seen one of these, I have been looking for one for years. It is a soap dispenser that used to be in various retail establishments. It holds a brick of soap, and when you turn the crank, it shaves off thin slices of the soap. I LOVED these as a kid.

They were made by Voorhis Tiebout in Red Hook New York.

Saw One Of These On eBay

Several months ago, but passed.

Have several crates of various vintage soap bars, and while the contraption did look interesting, just did not take the bait.

Must admit haven't seen one before nor since.

DARN! I look on eBay all the time for this...I wonder if they called it something different. I'll have to expand my search terms.

Have you tried Industrial Soap Company

in downtown? They're mainly wholesale, but I'll bet someone there would help you.
