I went back to LOS something and found more detergent. The Persil thing, I really don't know where I came up with that. I thought I seen it in there but I didn't.Wishing maybe? Who knows. I managed to grab these before Dean made me leave.
Has anyone seen the 123 bag before?
Here's the other Viva I was talking about. Maybe it's a different scent or something?
Is the one that looks like Tide really Tide or is it a knock off?

1-2-3 is more of an all-purpose cleaner. Kinda like our ancestors made soap once a year and that same soap cleaned your clothes, your dishes, your pots and pans, and your body, Central Americanos are kind of in the same way. I was not impressed with its performance in the laundry. Made by Henkel. VERY SUDSY!!!

Viva is the new formula, different scent. My favorite Mexi-detergent. Super excellent cleaning with a very nice, non-overpowering scent. Made by Henkel, it's probably just as good as Persil, but with suds. They used to also make "Viva Limon", but I haven't seen it in the new Perlas Activas formula.

ACE should look and smell like Ariel. I haved only seen it in boxes in Portuguese. Note it is made by P&G.

A few days ago I picked up a bags of Roma, Foca, Ace, and Ariel OxiAzul in a green package (Orgullosamente Impecable / Pureza Silvestre). Both Ariel and Ace list "suds supresser" in the ingredients. The scents in this case are a little different, maybe because of the green Ariel instead of blue?

Suavitel is a Colgate-Palmolive fabric softener that was exclusively imported from Mexico, but now it is commonplace on nearly all major chain grocery stores' detergent aisles here in the south. It's really good stuff -- when used in moderation. While we are limited to blue (springtime fresh), yellow (sun fresh), pink (roses and flowers) and sometimes green (fresh grass) Suavitel, there are also flavors such as:
peach
green apple
vanilla
lavender
baby
unscented
dark color

Ariel Orgullosamente Impecable is just the new packaging for the OxiAzul formulation. Seems to me the bag is greener and has some red swirls on it.

Anybody find Lirio at their Mexi-marts yet?

I LOVE Suavitel!

Have been using it for over a year now. It's just as good as Downy IMHO. And only like $1.99 for a large bottle.

Haven't seen the Lirio around here.

Hello!

Why didn't somebody tell Blondie here that there was a whole thread about this in the Super section? I just looked! I don't really think that I've posted anything on the Super section until tonight. Sorry. Someone say something next time!

Umm,Blondie

I can't tell from the ACE scan, but the 123 and Viva ingredients clearly list the spanish equivalent of "STPP" or Sodium Tripolyphosphate as an ingredient. This is a very good thing, and these detergents can be expected to outperform most phosphate free American brands.

Still looking for Ariel "Bajaespuma" ("low sudsing") here... for use in my front loader. Meanwhile I'm still hand-mixing Sears Ultra Plus HE powder with STPP I purchased in bulk from a local chemical warehouse. Works very well but something in me likes the aroma of Ariel.
