Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Current Favorite

I have had good success with Costco's Kirkland Signature Liquid Detergent and Ultra Purex Soft with Renuzit Odor Neutralizer. But a friend bought me the Kirkland detergent--and now I'll either have to cough up the 50 bucks for a yearly Costco membership, or shop for a new brand--possibly Tide if I can find a good sale.
If I had my wish, I'd go back to the late 1960's--Ajax, Bold or Gain detergents, with Final Touch fabric softener. (And could I have a few boxes of Action chlorine bleach packets, please?)

My favourites:

Ariel Bioliogical powder
Ariel Colour & Style powder
Lenor Sleep Sensations fabric conditioner

After trying every brand, in all forms, liquid, tablets, powders, liquitabs - the 2 Ariel powders are my all time best detergents.

i'm with "abcomatic"......tide and final touch!

i wasn't always able to use tide....i thought that i was allergic to it years ago but i think it was because it wasn't being rinsed well enough.. i don't have a problem now.

prior to the tide i used purex with (don't attack me!!) any dryer sheets that were on sale. i have now switched to liquid softner of course.

sorry didn't finish

for whites i use bleach along with the above detergent and softner. for "tough" stains i use fels naptha (sp?) it works wonderful!!! i use to have to use iron out instead of bleach because the water is so bad but i now have a water softner and it has helped tremendously.

Tide powder, Tide with Bleach powder, Gain powder.

Persil (German, original version only)

Tide liquid, all fragrances.

Gain liquid, original, and "With A Touch Of Softness".

Wisk 3X concentrated liquid.

Arm and Hammer "With Oxi-Clean" 2X liquid.

Final Touch, spring scent.

Suavitel "aromatherapy/premium" in orange or lavender.

Downy, any "premium" scent.

Clorox, regular version only.

Dryer sheets, either store brand or All or Bounce unscented.

Henkel`s el cheapo brand Spee is my current favorite, I have the Megaperls in regular and color version and also the liquid which is suitable for both whites and colors.
I like their Vernel softeners because much fewer chemicals are in the formular than in Lenor, which I find scentwise unbeatabel. Still looking for the perfect Vernel scent...
Panthera is right the AS powders are great performers and highly rated. But the scent is hardly noticable and it has a very fine powdery consistency with some hard to dissolve crumbs in it, probably inspired by the Megaperls.
Thanks to ALDI generics are usually of very high quality in this country.

I use Tide HE liquid, regular scent in front loaders so as not to cause oversudsing.
Otherwise, I use Mexican detergent, VIVA to which I add STTP (Phosphates).
As for fabric softener, I like Ensueno for the fresh, clean scnet. My alternative is April Fresh Downy.
And with whites, I also use Mexican bleach, Chloralex and
Mrs. Stewarts bluing.

I use DASH (P&G) classic powder most of the times, liquid just doesn't wash the stains away!
For dark coloured stuff I use laundy detergents my father provides me, some colour and smell-less liquid that doesn't foam and gets my laundy very clean, even greasy stains! Plus is very concentrated, some 40 ml in a wash will do the trick.
As softener I use Coccolino (Unilever) or Vernel (Henkel) that are equally good but only in classic (blue bottle) fragrances.

For Whites and extra dirty loads: VIVA (My all-time favorite)!
Colored loads: FOCA
In the FriGEMore: FAB, FOCA,and Kirkland's Institutional.Oh, and I'm working on a bottle of FRESH START.

Occasionally: 1-2-3, BLANCA NUEVES, and love PALOMA for towels.

Bleach: CLOROX

Fabric softener: SUAVITEL (blue)

aldi is to Europe what Walmart

is to the US, same controversies among the rich intellectual liberals about how horrid they are, same ambiance (anal-retentives, that was a joke), same high quality house brands...and, don't stone me, the same highly distraught mothers pushing wagons with the same hysterically screaming children.
They choose a market to enter, then do so with high quality and bargain basement prices.
Since I am not wealthy, I find it hard to object to them...
Gosh, the SPEE commercials alone are worth buying it - they have some of the cutest clueless guys...

I love all my detergents!!

But I especially like Persil and Ariel Color&Style...yummie!
Those 4 bottles from the right are empty..I store them because those bottles smell very nice..a bit weird but that doesn´t matter!
The second bottlle from the left is a dishwashing liquid-PRIL.
The rest is for stocks.
