Hi Sudsing...

Off the top of my head, most non-HE detergents are pretty high sudsing in my top loading Admiralpool. Especially high sudsing in my water are the products made by Sun (formerly Huish Detergents)....the Everyday Living non-HE, the Wal-Mart products, along with Tide, Gain...Proctor and Gamble tends to make very sudsy stuff too....or at least they used to. I traced my hives to Tide and Gain, and they don't get much of my business.

Another one that's a super sudser surprised me. The LA's Totally Awesome Detergent that Dollar Tree sells. Rinses clean though.

Recently we had a rather long thread about detergents that have little or no OCB's in them. What was the final outcome? Which detergent was finally determined to be the one with the least OCBs?

My city water must be ridiculously hard. We used to have a water softener that gave us wonderfully soft water, but it broke. We have been using Woolite, which, even with no water softener, used to make a good layer of suds and the clothes came out really clean. But not anymore. And I can't afford a new water softener just yet.

Well....

I've had really good results with Tide HE liquid in my Duet. Tried Gain HE liquid...not nearly as good cleaning results, which is funny since they are both produced by Procter & Gamble. I'm going to be switching to Tide HE POWDER after this is gone...powder has always treated me the best. Plus, its supposedly better on a front loader.

Also....

If you have a water softener, your going to get way different results. We have city water, which is somewhat hard...but I'm yet to have a suds problem with my Duet.
