Did I purchase the correct chemical?

I recently purchased some Sodium tripolyphosphate. ...is this the correct laundry additive that so many like and use? Hopefully I purchased correctly...and if so I can go back to previous posts to find the amount to use per load.....thanks in advance for verifying...

Correct.

I added 2 tbsp to the bucket when washing my car yesterday.  Worked great!

That's it.  I use 2 tbsp in my Maytag Dependable Care toploader, and 1 ½ tsp. in my dishwasher.
