Did Sunbeam end mixer production?

Did Sunbeam stop making the Mixmaster? There's nothing to be found of mixers on their website anymore. Quite the end of a run.

Sunbeam,, the real Sunbeam that is who made all those wonderful mixers has been outta that biz for what 15-20 years, maybe more. Anything since has just been made in Asia, use the Sunbeam name. Take a read to see who owns what.

Another Sunbeam product I miss-the Sunbeam electric razors!When those became no longer available-had to go to Norelco.Wish the Sunbeam Shavemaster could come back!

Sadly, like most great, American brands the trademark is all that remains. Westinghouse, Maytag, Bell & Howell even General Electric, to name a few, are just tags slapped on to generic products now.

Sunbeam in the UK and Ireland tends to be associated with the entirely unrelated Sunbeam Motor Company, which disappeared in the 1930s, but the trademark was used on cars from the Rotes Group and its successors right into the 1970s.

I think Jarden Corporation used the US brand here for some obscure products like a 1990s replica Teasmade (automatic bedside tea maker that brews tea at a set time)

I've seen it on rather cheap and basic hotel room irons and kettles too - really simple and basic stuff.

I don't think it was ever an iconic brand here.

There's a vast list of defunct companies' brands still floating around making appearances on various random items or being owned by retailers, distributors and marketing companies to rebadge or use as private labels etc

I always find it a bit of a nasty trick when some old high quality brand gets resurrected and slapped on some cheap TV and older folks buy in, thinking they're buying some familiar brand.

Prices for the stand mixer have shot up to $175.91 on Amazon, not sure if that's inflation speaking, or more likely is often the case, the item is discontinued and remaining stock is all that's left.

The last Sunbeam mixers made in USA was 1997 I believe. Which was also when the Automatic Radiant toasters were discontinued.

While the quality wasn't like the good old ones, I did like the newer Sunbeam Mixmaster stand mixers for what they were. They still had the bowl fit beater setup, and the bowl spinner button on the beater. The vintage bowls would even still fit perfectly in the turntable.

Sad to see the lineage go, even if the American made ones were 25 years ago now.

Too many lines are being discontinued these days!
