This is a "Match-All" dryer - Sears sold them to appeal to the first-time dryer purchaser and was touted to match any washer of any brand. We saw one like this in coppertone a few weeks ago at an estate sale. I love how the controls were hidden in the top panel.

More deluxe model had auto Fabric Master or Electronic sensor drying.

Greg, that's interesting. Looking back, I don't think this comes close to matching any other manufacturer's models!

Rich, it didn't really match anything, was just very generic and the most "universal" looking dryer they sold.

You're right, Bob, the one we saw a few weeks ago had the electronic control. Those dryers were usually a good deal if you didn't need a washer. Later, the controls became more plastic and generic looking - at least these had a little sparkle!

My aunt on my Dad's side had this dryer. She had a model 70 washer from the early 60s, the one whose control dial looks kind of like a 58 Frigidaire.
