I stupidly tried to down load a game and ended up with the "Dingo Deals" virus. I think it came through facebook which I just learned to use. I've tried all the suggestions on-line to kill the mother but no luck. Can anyone suggest anything?

You can start by removing the Dingo Deals software from your computer by using the Add/Remove Programs tool in your control panel.

Then download a program like Malware Bytes and run it to remove the rest of it.

Reboot and it should all be gone. Technically, this is a malware problem, not a true virus. But it is aggravating.

Hang in there Cuff's.  I am the one that had ADspeak  infect  my computer.  The difficult thing is sometimes some of these afflictions do not plainly show their name under programs and since it did get in,  it may have affected other programs.  While you are in programs be sure to look at the dates when things were installed or changed. Remove the main program also look at the dates to determine when "dingo deals" started running the show.   I think I got the ADspeak malware from the Sears site,  oh well,  I did not get the Kenmore bottom freezer.  I bought the similar Amana from HD, free shipping and I felt a tad vindicated. Allen/Whirlcools tip about the malware program was true for me.  Even after deleting Adspeak, it kept reinstalling,  very aggravating.  alr

Whirlcool, you da man! I downloaded Malware Bytes (free version) and set it to work. It came up with 59(!) issues. It then got rid of them including Dingo. I was so impressed I up graded to the $$ one. Thanks again.
