Pete, that's amazing!

I just bought one of these over the weekend at the local SA thrift store. I got everything except the glass jar(it must have broken) for $.79 as in cents. It's brand new, never used.
The only difference is the timer. Mine is a 30 second timer and over the "off" button it says "Aristocrat".
It's a 450 watt motor and model 1006, and made in the USA.
I plan on looking for a used jar first, part of the fun of collecting. If I don't find one, new are still available.

It was a good weekend. I also found a nice Sunbeam Mixmaster Model 12 complete at the local Habitat Re-Store for $7.00.

Oxydolfan1 just might be right................

As for "demanding the impossible": How bad do you want it? (yeah, who's yer Daddy?) LOL I just love a good bargaining chip.
It makes the hair on my back stand up when I happen across something that might look precious and rare today even if it doesn't strike MY fancy, yet it might be worth considerably more tomorrow. Last month I found a Westinghouse Converto-Vac at a garage sale. It's not in the best of shape, but it does have all of the tools, the manual and the hose. I guess I'm probably going to sound like a pimp right now, but it's worthless to me at this moment. I want to wait and see how the new year unfolds.......

I'm not greedy, but I just happened upon a possible barg

Truth be known, I'll probably play 'underdog' on this one and turn it over to a sincere collector. Discretely.

Oxydolfan-- OK, anyone who quotes Malcolm MacLaren scores big bonus points with me. I initially thought his early '80s prediction that the American and British working classes would eventually be paid not to work----outsourcing and mechanization having all but made the 'worker' obsolete---was a ridiculous load of crap. Doesn't seem quite so far-fetched now, does it?

Sorry about that 58limited!

I'm visiting BigBub in Rosenberg. we're good friends. I responded on his notebook and he was signed in.

I don't think that this Ebay seller cleans anything! Look at that steamer he's offering. Jeesh, filth city!
I guess it hasn't occured to him that cleaning things up a bit may bring him a few more bucks in the end. After all, who wants someone elses filth?
Another thing, this guy must be spending a great deal of time and disk space with all the photos for each item he sells. Multiple photos are nice, but these are over the top!
