I never understood why Frigidaire stuck with those fat Radiantubes when they were no longer necessary for providing an all over heating pattern with 5 heat position switches once infinite heat switches came along. I can cook on them and accepted the fun challenge of using them for years but they were not the most modern surface units after the early 50s.
