Discuss-O-MAT Error

I was typing in a subject drift for Greg's thread that was using quotations and the whole phrase was removed from the line. Is this normal; I know quotes are somewhat "sensitive" to the board?

I typed in Hotpoint "Long Neck" and when it posted it was just Hotpoint.

Not sure-

I have noticed that when typing in the "less-than" and "greater-than" symbols (Upper case on my QWERTY keyboard over the comma and period)

that it does not include it in the message. Normally these are used for facial expressions--

sigh
giggle
chuckle
squint
salivate

etc.

Use 2 apostrophes to make quotes ''like this'&#3

. . .and they won't make the quoted text disappear.
