Hi ya'll,
Just a thought on the F&P drawers. I've got a pair of those and find that a blocked washarm is usually the cause of residue on dishes. Could it be that it got missed when it was loaded up? Judging from the pictures it looks unlikely, but it is hard to tell. Unfortunately it doesn't give a warning, like my old GE used to, when something interferes with the wash mechanism. I can tell by the way it sounds if something interferes with the rotation, but not everyone in my household is so attuned. The few times that it wasn't picked up, most of the dishes still came out surprisingly clean.
The holes in the F&P washarms are quite large in comparison to many other dishwashers and it really seems to move a lot of water under quite a bit of pressure. I've now had it for close to a year and not once have I had to clean out stuff from the spray holes. The large circular filter screen keeps remarkably clean as well. I don't pre-rinse, but scrape off solid food residue before loading them into the machine. The small strainers at the front of each drawer collect small quantities of gunk and they get cleaned out monthly.
Our dirty dishes don't get to sit for 24 hours though. We use both drawers twice daily on average.
Cheers from sunny Cairns
