hello to all aw members i have a small question back in 2016 dishwasher was replace was a kenmore dishwasher replace by a ge dishwasher model pdt720ssh2ss serie dg808485b, when it was purchuse it was number 1 under the top 10 but while in the store there was a maytag model dishwasher what i went to know is what is the better dishwasher ge or maytag or kitchenaid ( maytag kitchenaid made by whirlpool). because when the time comes if the dishwasher needed to be replace exemple kitchen appliances replace all at the same time and maytag was the number 1 choice i would have to convince my mom that maytag is the best choice if it was rated number 1 on the top 10 dishwasher chart because i tend to check regularly what is the best dishwasher and what options are best curent dishwasher unless i have heat dry active leaves water on the dishes right now current diwasher is still good but i tend to keep myself updated on the most recent technology thank you for any answer

When my Bosch started leaking last year, I replaced it with a Maytag for three reasons:  1) Easy repair (I couldn't find anyone who wanted to repair the Bosch); 2) the Maytag has a hard food disposer with no filter to clean; and 3) it has a heated dry option (which Bosch does not).

Per Consumer Reports, Bosch makes all the top rated machines.. Thing is they have so many models all differing in small details that it's hard to compare,, some of them do have extra dry options and some have water softeners etc. Some have 60 minute express cycles, some have 30 min cycles, and some don't.

I like the hard food disposer and heated dry. Most are going to the manual filters if I'm not mistaken. I will truly miss the food grinder.

Self cleaning filter

Go with the Maytag. It has a self cleaning filter and hard food disposer.

I had a PDT720 dishwasher as well, a few years ago.
It was a nifty, feature-packed machine.
But in all honesty? It was a very inconsistent cleaner.
Some loads would come out sparkling clean and pristine.
Other loads would come out with stains left, and gritty glassware.
The upper rack had terrible corner coverage.
AND...after 2yrs, the racks started rusting, and the motor spring a slow seal leak. So I sold it before it got too noticeable. (heehee)

I then bought a filter-based KA (KDTE304GPS).
And I must say, the KA is a much better, more consistent cleaner.
5yr warranty on the racks and control board too.

Now, like Bob said, that line is being replaced with a new "spinning filter" architecture from Whirlpool, on their MT and KA line.
The tubs are taller, with more usable 3rd racks.
Models without the 3rd racks look to have equally HUGE height on the bottom and top.
Their performance is yet to be seen. However I am optimistic.
