Hello everyone! I've recently found an issue of Which? Magazine (March 1974) featuring an article on dishwashers, and I thought it would be nice to share it with you.
The article is shorter than usual for this kind of topic (6 pages), and the tests carried out by the magazine focus on models one could get for about £100,00 at the time. Enjoy your reading, I'm waiting for your impressions/thoughts :)
Ivan

I remember those Philips machines: some of them easily made into the 90s with relatively few issues, or even none.
Although I'm an Italian man born in the 70s who grew up with a Rex (Zanussi) split-tub dishwasher, and I'm not a big fan of the loading configuration we used then (china/cups/glassware > top rack; pots/pans/bowls/silverware > bottom rack), I'd go for the Ariston Aristella.
I'm also surprised that the Indesit P12 washing performance was rated good - Indesit's P series machines were know to be poor, or rather lousy, performers as they were still based on the 60s designs for the P8 dishwasher (the first Indesit machine with 2 wash arms and 2 independent sliding racks). Their following series - the LS - was much better in terms of washing performance and reliability.

I remember reading these ratings in Which magazine and other ratings magazines in spare minutes when I could run into the stacks which were fortunately located near my department in the late 70s and early 80s. Thank you for the flash back.
