Hi Everyone,

I am currently working on a documentary that looks into the history and science of household appliances. One of those is the Washing Machine and I am currently looking for people who own old washing machines, both manual and automatic.

We are based in London so looking for people in the UK.

I'd be really grateful if relevant people could be in touch or recommend any people you know that might be interested.

My email address is [email protected]

Thanks so much for your time

Best

Julie

Hu Julie,

Interesting...!! I am based in Surrey/Hampshire in the UK, and have a big-ish (30) collection of old washing machines from the 50's & 60's and also have a vast collection of old advertising for washers as well. If you want to know a bit more about me please feel free to visit my web site at www.laundra-mat.net

My email is [email protected] should you wish to contact me.

Hello Julie

If you don't mind, feel free to ask me about the history of washing-machines and household appliances concerning Merry Olde Germany!! Smile!
Germany, in the heart of Europe, has had a lot of influences from regions arround (North, South, East and West) and is the country of the birth of the washing-machine (1763)!

Cheers, Ralf
