Does anyone have a need for traditional non-LED light bulbs, the kind that were banned?

Post above is bullseye dead on Nothing is worse that LEDs for nuisance light pollution- metal halide lamps at car lots are nothing compaired to the LED problem- I can see LED light pollution skyglow over a couple nearby cities that was not there before outdoor LEDs began to go into widespread use. Good thing about these LEDs is most are severely overdriven and dimout right away

Its both.
Million candle power fixtures with no shades emitting a blinding white light aimed right in your face.
To make matters worse where two lights would be more than enough people will put up a half dozen or more because of the lower cost to run.

Part of the blame is due to the so-called energy saving crowd and their legislation to save the world's resources.
The other part is due to the crime rate increases, also due to society's ills, lack of good parenting, drugs, etc.
So this is what we're forced to deal with.

Our county has an ordinance, no light can emit light towards the sky. They all have to have shades. They even went after a catholic church that refused to change their parking lot lights. The county won, took like 5 years with all the appeals. I think the church enjoyed annoying all the neighbors that brought the suit. Cost them 1000x the cost of just changing the fixtures. They weren't even LED. I think they were halide.

We have a couple observatories around here, and they take light pollution seriously.

You mean all the crime that has been falling since the 90's? That's violent AND property crimes. Violent crimes fell by 70%.

Incandescent oven lightbulbs

Indeed, this will be the last place they ever tried to put an LED or some other type of light since the incandescent lightbulb is only helping heat. the oven anyway ovens are generally heated with resistance electric unless it’s gas.

To my knowledge, those bulbs advertized as "Appliance" bulbs use a specific type of glass globe that withstands breaking vibration shocks, and extreme temperature swings.
The one I replaced in 2007 in my Tappan overn is exposed and has to withstand the oven heat. - and still is fine.
