It's a Samsung Dv10k6500ev model just thinking of buying it but need to know how reliable it's going to be thanks.
Does anyone own this dryer and know how reliable it is thanks

Currently using a newer four-year-old Samsung dryer which replaced a six-month-old new Maytag dryer.
No problems per say w the samsung as the vent sensor was my selling feature. The maytag would not dry sheets period - it would just roll a ball of sheets. Both units ran like they are missing screws with rattles etc.
I had made the comment to the repairman on the maytag "ive had several 20 plus year old dryers that ran smoother"
regret not getting something older and have 1000 bucks in my pocket on this Samsung.

We had a Samsung dryer (US, not sure if they are the same everywhere) and it was awful. It was 4-5 years old and had both drum rollers replaced at about year 2, then the belt tensioner pulley failed about year 3, and a second time about a year later. It didn't dry evenly, and would roll blankets and sheets into a ball which then wouldn't dry. About the best I could say about it is that it was fairly quiet when working properly. Sensor drying was hit and miss.
Don’t have any experience with Samsung dryers at all and have only seen them in person at Lowe’s and they definitely are cheaply made. Only good dryer you can buy today is a Whirlpool 29” dryer and there aren’t many complaints since the design hasn’t changed much over the years and the newest dryer I’ve used is the one at my grandma’s house in Delaware which happed to be a Whirlpool 29” dryer.

A retired local guy close by here frequently posts good used speed queen and others....been thinking of asking him for a trade while mine still works.
The repairmen made several trips to fix my brand new maytag but ended up bending the drum so badly that it was oval and would not run smooth - the only recourse i had with the local store was to buy a more expensive model to get a refund on the maytag.
The other infurating point on the maytag was that after only several months of usage by a single person, the inside paint had chips of powder coat chipped off on the back of the drum which could snag clothes. Again had 20 plus year old dryers never do this so decided a stainless interior was for me...

If a newer dryer already has paint that’s chipping off and is wearing off that quickly then that’s a very cheaply made dryer. Why people continue to buy Samsung dryers that are cheaply made (or anything else newer that’s cheaply made) is beyond me and people are gullible and fall for the technology crap and complain when it doesn’t work or that it’s complicated to use and really a dryer has one purpose and that’s to dry clothes but people gotta have a dryer that’s connects to their smart phone so they can run it when they aren’t home but it ain’t wise to leave ANY dryer running when you aren’t home.
Been looking for a steam dryer
and still can't decide especially after hearing this about the Maytag dryer.A woman where I work bought a new Samsung set really likes the dryer finds it drys very quickly, but it's a top load set. I have a basic Whirlpool dryer now, but I miss the steam option on it, after replacing an Electrolux 627 that was the biggest slush bucket I ever owned taking on average 90 minutes to dry a load of wet laundry. The only thing that worked great was the steam refresh cycle.On the newer Whirlpool dryer with steam 6620 model it doesn't have great reviews either saying it takes longer dry times and didn't dry a comforter on bulky cycle completely dry. Maybe what is old in design is what is new again.

Bob after looking at lowes online now, fairly certain it was MGDC465HW. It did not have steam heat also i disconnected the water hose on my samsung after the installers had connected it....
Still am amazed at how that maytag ran and the unusual roller noises and rattles carrying on for a new dryer. And mentioning again here the powder coat interior back panel pitting...After the 4th repairman dropped the drum which resulted in bending it oval and spent 6 hours trying to put it back together, id decided paychecks/hours/jobs were evidently being sought after from maytag on repairs!
The whole ordeal soured me further on new appliances. Cant see myself ever buying a new appliance again other then refrigeration maybe...

Aaron, thank you. I have a 26.5 y/o Maytag LDG9824ACE Dependable Care dryer. The inside of the dryer still looks brand new. I like/love my dryer, but there are times I wish it held the load size I put through my 4.5 cu. ft. Duet. The dryer replaced the match to the 1986 DD LK washer due to motor failure and I needed a dryer with a side-swing door. I do get bored with it at times. And there's a noticeable difference between its rated 6.2 cu. ft. and 7.0 cu. ft. like the Maytag you had. Heck, my LK dryer was 6.9 cu. ft. I wonder if one of the new SQ dryers with steam would meet your needs? I've just about resigned myself to never having a matched laundry pair again, I've lived without a matched set for 26.5 years. I'd just hoped one last time I would.
Aaron, my sister & BIL bought that exact same Maytag dryer (gas too) about 2 years ago. They've been extremely pleased with it. It replaced a 1989 Kenmore model or two below the LK. They ran that dryer into the ground and the repair guy said it was beyond repair the last time.

Sorry To Hear About Your New Maytag Dryer Problems
Hi Aaron, It certainly is not typical to have the problems you had with your new dryer, I suspect it was dropped or otherwise damaged when you got it.
We see a lot of damaged appliances where there is no visible outside damage, and noise and vibration are often the result.
After 2 repair attempts for the same problem while under warranty WP will usually replace the appliance if you insist.

Dependable care dryer
Bob, also obtained and used an electric dependable care for about 5 years and loved it some time ago. Moved and dropped off at my sisters sitting unused needing its blower replaced with said new part sitting inside drum... ha nothing like loading family up w spares as well. Gave mom a gas dependable care as well which she still uses. Im left w samsung crap haha
Ive never had a matching set and dont feel any need...
My opinion is the new 7.0 cu tag is too large in an elongated design to properly toss sheets up with enough gusto to have drying - memory here but 3 king size flannel sheets out of my 71 tl tag would just spin up into a wet ball. Who knows as maybe i was not untangling the sheets carefully enough or something but been doing my own laundry for many years and that new 7.0 cu maytag and i just did not get along.

The next repairmen corrected that mistake!

Aaron, I wash my 2 queen size sheets sets every two weeks. The 2 fitted sheets get dried first and then the pillow cases and top sheets are the 2nd dryer load. Nothing gets stuck in the corners of the fitted sheets (pillow cases) by doing it this way. I found flannel sheets are just difficult to dry regardless. Fabric doesn't lend itself to billowing open easily and tends to roll up in a ball.

After typing and sending above, now realize repairmen was trying to rid squeaks from the rigid vent replacing w the flex....Makes sense. But he and i knew immediately it was a roller at 1st visit. 2nd guy came out with nothing as forgot rollers at store. 3rd guy replaced rollers and at that time was my mistake if mentioning the back plate pits. 4th guy spent 6 hours on it and really wrecked it! Haha can laugh on it now as time has past.
Just looked and never did get my rigid 16 in section back - its a semi rigid but may not cause much difference. Might be a lowes list for that item now haha..

Bob, realizing you being from tx a lot fewer flannel sheets are used then us northerners haha. Good way of doing sheets there....
Interesting how many of us probably load our dryers as precisely as our bob loads!
