I had completely forgotten that color.
Yikes!
It certainly screams something.
Looking back, they certainly were trying to get away from the 24lb.turkey, twice a year, ovens and make them easier to use.
Whirlpool had better thermostats than the Flairs, didn't they?

The burner is an eye?
Yes you do hear burners caled an "eye" in other languages, but not usually in English.
ooooh and the upper oven is continuous-cleaning (catalytic)!
Reminds me of an old ethnic joke routine-
Man places an ad to sell stove. Reader believes it is an ad offering a dog for adoption."Only two of her four eyes work....." Reader becomes indignant and argumentative,as if seller is crazy. Fun ensues......

I love that color. Two of my vintage washer/dryer sets are avocado and they are gorgeous!
But seriously, what a cool freakin stove. It is very flare-like.

You can. It's called a micro-convection oven and range-hood that sits over any standard 30" free-standing range!
These are great in that when properly installed it affords one the 30" (75cm) legally requred clearance from the cooktop to the bottom of the over-the-stove oven/hood!
These older double ovens had issues with large pots and access to same (stir, stir, stir) on the rear "eyes".

I hate to think what's about to happen to that wonderful kitchen.
And there is NOTHING WRONG with green. Love it or hate it, it's out there and some of US like it.

Well then, you're welcome to my share. I grew up with a green freak (green EVERYTHING, including every last stitch of clothing she bought for me to wear to school), and the only place I tolerate the colour today is on folding money. ;-)
