Don does his Virgin Load

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I don't know why....

<span style="font-family: 'courier new', courier;">I just can't bring myself to put my Cutco in the dishwasher.  The handles on mine are still nice and shiny and I'm afraid repeated washing in the dishwasher will dull them.  I know it sounds crazy from someone who lives by the motto "don't buy it unless it's dishwasher safe."</span>

Man, a 9-minute cycle; that's almost beyond the pale in today's 3-hour Normal Cycle world.

Cutco, shmutco. Put it in the dishwasher! I even put bamboo cooking spoons in the top rack. Of course, this from the man who will soon be without a dishwasher as he transitions to an apartment, LOL.

Jon: What are the two things that look like small slot machines on the right side of photo #1 in the original post?

Final Thoughts: Don, I think I've mentioned this before, but you look very much like Bernard Sumner, the guitarist from New Order.

There, I think that covers everything...

From the guests perspective.......

I asked my host about the Cutco and was told to put it in. The two glasses came out great. You know the wash tower has a reverse button on the back that when used actually sprays against the outer tub up into the sides of things that you can use when loading dishes facing outwards. Since this thread has "Don" and "Virgin" in it I thought I would offer this answer to the loading concerns as they are equally farfetched!

Gene

yes you do spot my slot machines, the last of the all mechanicals they are called "5 click" machines, one is 1948 the other 1949. I make a lot of money off my nephews, nieces and guests! So far this guest has not ventured there but he will be "pushed " before he leaves me yet again !!!

After that load,

definitely no longer virgin.

Except for bone-glued handles on silver knives, high carbon steel, my vintage cast PRESTO pressue pans and a very few other items (early 1970s laminated wooden salad bowls come to mind) it ALL goes into the dishwasher. This nonsense about wood and all the rest is just that. Nonsense.
