Thats quite a collection indeed! Your house must be just awesome at christmas time!
Ill have to check out the lights at my grandmas house. In the basement there are several strands running around of regular clear lights. They dont work, but she says they were there before they moved in the house 30 years ago!
They also have a gargantuan wardrobe in one of the guest bedrooms that contains a ton of christmas decorations that are all antiques from her parents and grandparents.
After my grandma converted to Judaism, she stored all the christmas stuff into the wardrobe and into the attic above the 3rd floor. I have never been in the attic because to get to it you need to climb on top of a bookcase with a ladder and squeeze through a little trap door.
They said they put most of the old original smaller fixtures and chandeliers that were original to the house of 1915 in there.
Ive been itching for YEARS to go in there.

Do you keep a display going all year long? I am an absolute freak for Christmas and am way over the top with decor, but not exclusively antique it is a huge mix of whatever I like and goes with the different themes in the rooms...
