It had been something that I had in mind since we decided to buy the house in St-Liboire - putting in a new floor for the kitchen and dining areas.

Now, if I'd been smart, I'd have gotten this done before we moved but, well this is ME we're talking about... LOL

Most of the work was done while we were in Mexico - the last of it was done last week (poor Hubby got to live in the Dust Bowl).  I spent this week dealing with construction dust and just managed to get it done in time to spend the long holiday weekend down in Ogden.   My sense of timing is off.... LOL

Here's the before shots of the dining room and kitchen floors.

And after...

We went with hardwood (oak) for the dining area, tiles for the kitchen and added bonus - tiles on the kitchen counter backsplash!   We had the floor in the living area, hall and stairways done to match the newer wood in the dining area.

I'm pretty darn happy with the results.  But I think I want to do some repainting now.... After the long weekend for sure.

Looks Faboo!

I love my ceramic tile, such a nice change from linoleum.  No scrubbing and waxing.  I'd be happier with hardwood in the bedrooms as opposed to pergo, but have to admit it's 100% easier to keep clean.

Nice job by your tradesmen!

And, a little late:  Joyeux Paques!
