Downy Gets a Makeover

O K P & G is at it again Downy is undergoing a make over of some sorts in February... I wish they would leave things alone!

If they REALLY want consumers to go nuts about Downy, they could try lowering the price- that's the makeover it needs.

Yes, I saw the sticky tags on the bottles in WalMart earlier.

They did not mention a product change per se....just a change in the shape of the bottle??

This company does this almost constantly....guaranteed, it will be even less of a value then ever before.

Hmph. They kinda lost me when they did away with Downy Advanced, I think it was called. I liked that. I've been using Gain for a while now.

I'm on my last bottle of Advanced. Dunno what I'm gonna do for the jeans & shirts when it's gone.   :-(

Bring back Advanced! I loved that stuff because it really worked.

Naturally, they discontinued it...

Looks like the days of utilitarian bottles are gone and companies are spending some bucks on fancy, brand-image packaging.

It does not appear

as if you must update your bottle, if you use Downy refill.....

I'm using the same bottle I bought in 1999.

I don't think this is like trying to run "Windoze" Vista on a 386 computer

Rose & Violet Scent???? Are they for real??

I've been using Downy for while (use to use the cheapo brands) and I like the Mountain Spring scent. But Rose & Violet scent??? I really don't want my pants to have some romantic experience on account of the fabric softener (at least while I'm wearing them).

I have tried different fabric softeners but always go back to April Fresh Downey. Sometimes I use Mexican fabric softener, Ensueno.

Downy makeover mess

I noticed a newly-shaped Downy bottle on the website (in one of the side boxes) and the "Downy" name on the label is in a new typefont...P & G routinely "improves" its formulas on all its products, whether the improvement really is an improvent or not.

I always liked the yellow SunRinse Fresh formula, and, naturally, that's the one that got dumped first...
