I'm a couple of days late sharing this (damn work commitments!), but here it is:

I had a very lucky break on eBay a few days ago - I was trawling the site looking for various things I'd like to have, and decided to see if there were any Model 7600 chrome Dormeyer "Dormey" mixers available.

Several popped up - and it was the same old story; priced higher than I wanted to go. But one wasn't, and the auction was due to close shortly. To make a long story short, I got it for the opening bid, and very reasonable shipping!

It is virtually perfect, save one very small flaw in the chrome, which I can live with considering that I paid so little. I've had the 7500 in white for a long time (in fact, more than one), but chrome stuff is what really runs my motor.

So, I now have the big chrome Dormeyer Princess stand mixer (I'm still grateful, Kelly!), and its little brother, the chrome Dormey.

To all of you like Kelly, Paul, Ben and Tim who were keeping an eye out for one for me - I'm good. This is a workhorse of a little mixer; I like these better than the Mixmaster, Jr.s.

Sandy,

All you have to do is tell me, and whatever you're looking for just pops up!  My powers are "almost" as magical as Robert's. lol

Tim Isn't Kidding, Folks!

Something like four times recently, Tim has offered to keep an eye out for stuff I'm looking for, and as soon as he's offered, the item turns up for me!

I've been kidding him, asking if I can send him my entire wish list.

Of course, my entire wish list includes a winning lottery number and a certain TV star's hand in marriage....

Love it!!  Those 'Dormey' mixers are so cool and stylish!    I've not seen any at yard or estate sales for ages now and I was beginning to wonder if the well had dried up.   Congratulations on your find and may you mixwell for many years to come... LOL

That's awesome, Sandy!! I've seen these at Brimfield a number of times in the last few years in different colors.

Calling Tim............... Reasonably priced +/- 40" dual-oven electric stove in pank (will accept turquoise) with dial controls (as opposed to push button) that aren't directly over the burners. Light up dash and griddle optional, but appreciated. Oh, and within a few hours of here for pickup, please. LOL!!!

Chuck

Wow!

Hans: Thanks for thinking of me, but I had no idea you had one in stock! Nice of you to be willing. How goes the move?

Paul: "Mixwell," eh? Giggle! By the way, my chrome Princess sends her thanks for the turntable! She's been very grateful.

Chuck: Be careful - oh, so very careful - what you wish for in Tim's presence, LOL. If you open your door one morning and find your front lawn covered in pink and turquoise ranges, don't blame me!

Chuck,

There's a white Philco range for sale at an upcoming estate sale, but the controls are on the opposite side.  Not sure about the dual ovens though.  I'm pretty sure the controls light up though.  I also doubt this model has a griddle, but still very nice looking nonetheless.

Seriously, Sandy isn't joking in the least.  Every time I've told him I'd keep an eye out for some item, within a few days he finds it.  It's like telling Santa what you want for Christmas and then it magically appears underneath the tree on Christmas morning.
