First time on this side of the form with another question, we have an late 2000s early 2010s whirlpool duet FL washer and just noticed that under the door has a small leak, now it isn't the bottom of the door itself but underneath of it, could it be an outer drum seal that's starting to go? Expensive fix?

Mine leaked

like that a LONG time ago and I discovered if you don't keep the under side of the glass wiped completely, just a wee bit of lint hair or cat hair on the glass where it seals to the rubber when you shut the door, will cause a small dripping leak as the washer runs. I've kept that area super clean after every load and never noticed another leak. I guess that any kind of small debris will cause it not to completely seal? At least this was the case with me. Mine was leaking exactly where you're pointing.
