I really liked Drive, I loved the way it smelled. WHen did they stop making it? It came out the same time as Gain.

After watching these commercials, I was wondering if the little blue stain eaters were the models for the later developed Pac Man video game? They look very similar....

Original Drive Detergent Commercial I Found

Already have this one, but thought you might enjoy it, along with the other two classic ads on this thread I just spotted this evening.--Laundry Shark

Little blue stain eaters.

Hi Laundryshark,
You may be interested to know here in Australia Drive was very popular for a long time but the advertising did not ever mention the little blue stain eaters.
The advertising slogan was ""ordinary powders get clothes ordinary clean, but Drive strives for total clean."
Ajax laundry detergent had the blue dots as well although they were not called little blue stain eaters, they were referred to as the "blue beads of bleach."
I think the ingredient in both powders was sodium perborate.
Drive was Lever and Kitchen's tough detergent and Ajax was Colgate-Palmolive's.

WOW! I remember those yellow boxes with the arrow. I was thinking about them the other day and wondered "what was that brand?". I hardly noticed them at the time - they were in the middle of the aisle on the bottom. The All we usually bought was not close by on the shelves so I never had a chance to look closely at it. Cool, thanks!
