Never seen one of these critters either. Interesting----if only they had figured out how to do the drum and rollers-----!

My understandng is that the Scandinavian countries had versions of these for decades.
They feel (felt?) that tumble dryers waste energy. Understandable if the effluent (warm-moist air) is piped outside, in that climate.
However the energy consumed by saunas is OK....

These were very common in Australia until the tumble dryer took over in the mid 70's
Ours tended to be in tall narrow cabinets with two levels of hangers.
