GEs frist Plastic Tub DW
Glad you got this DW Kevin, you should have fun with it, hopefully running it will not cause a water shortage in southern California, LOL.
Ralph, changing to the newer pump and motor really upgrades the efficiency, cleaning and rinsing performance of GE DWs that had the old shaded pole motors and big housing pumps, it is differently a good thing to do if one intends to use the DW much. I have not decided whether to keep the original style P&M in the DW that we have when it gets installed in the Museums Great Wall of DWs. These newer PSC motors use just 1/3 to 1/4 the power of the original black shaded pole motors, GE designed and introduced this motor for DW use in the late 1960s when they still though that electricity was going to be so cheap that they would not even brother with electric meters because of Nuclear power.
The Great Wall of DWs will have 18 or 21 built-in DWs installed three high and will all be capable of being run for testing and demonstration purposes, so I will try and leave them in the original build state.
