Steve Riley drove out to Omaha last week for a few days, we had a really fun time with him and extend our thanks not only for a great weekend, but taking a whole truckload of appliances too!

One of the things that was on the truck was this incredible 1963 Philco-Bendix gas Duomatic. Kim from Michigan drove in for a very short stop (wish you could have stayed longer, Kim) to pick up his Westinghouse spacemate set. He brought this along for Steve - what a beautiful combo this is!

Steve congratulations on all those neat machines. Can't wait to hear how you like the Duomatic. Yay for Greg as well, I bet there is a lot more room in your garage. Terry

As soon as the dust settles------

I will post some more photos as soon as I have a chance. Had a great visit with Greg and as you all can see returned home with a load of "toys" (pronounced tow-eeees here in the south).
1016 miles from Greg's driveway to mine! What a schlep! Left Omaha about 9am (local time) and drove directly to Atlanta arriving about 4:15 am the following morning. Honey, "sistah" ain't right! Thanks to Brent Aucoin who so graciously helped me unload the truck!

Oh, yeah------

And on the Northbound leg of my journey I overnighted in St.Louis. Chris Rombach and his mother had me over to see Chris's "toweeees" (Toggle----don't go there) and a wonderful dinner. Chris is very particular about how he does his restorations, and they all look like brand new machines!

Chris has a rather novel way of replacing the original black rubber cap on the "unimatics" pulsator column-----he uses a standard black rubber 3" sewer cap! I got one while in Omaha for about $5, and it works perfectly! Not original equipment, but I don't sweat the small stuff, and it looks like it should have been original!

Thanks Chris! You are a great host and have a great collection!

AND another thing----------

Greg is so much fun and such a great host-----but sets the stage for confusion-----which of his beautiful toys to play with! While he was at work one eveing, I found myself in his "showroom" in the basement with piles of laundry ready to wash and all those beautiful toys------what a dilemma!

Soooooo--- a load in the (55?) Kelvinator and one in the (63?) Hotpoint and another in that gorgeous (55?) Speed Queen and a load of towels in the '59 Frigidaire-----whew---- I worked up a sweat just running between all of 'em watching the show! Heaven on earth!

Thanks to Greg and Skylar for a great visit!

A boy and his toys.

What an aswesome machine!

What is that round cut-out between the water inlet solenoid valves and the main pulley/flywheel? Is that a motorized ...... can't be........ an air inlet, can it be?

Where is the gas burner located?
What is the ariflow pattern during the dry cycle?

Overall very fascinating mechanics.
