Do tell

Oh, right.  This isn't the Dirty Laundry forum . . .

What a beautiful shot!  Oh, right . . .

Truly though, no matter how many sunsets a person may have witnessed in their lifetime, those that take place over a large body of water are IMO the most dramatic, even when there's not a cloud in the sky.

Beautiful!! NY has many gorgeous views...

and here's a midday one from our summer place in VT looking over towards the Adirondacks in NY... it looks even better at sunset! we have to walk a couple hundred feet from the house to see it, but well worth the walk!

last night around 11:00

Took a shower outside and watched the out-of-control Mountain Center Fire spread on the mountain side. Everything is covered with ash. Sad about those mountain residents living in this very high-risk area.

Down the path of gold, Nick

Guys like you who wouldn't offend on your worst day, and then apologize just in case, are the world class acts who keep this teetering planet afloat.

This one's for you.

The Greenway Bike Trail

Huge effort to reclaim the lake front from the long gone steel, etc, industry. The hope is to have Buffalo do what Chicago and Cleveland did to theirs. We're comin' back.

sunset at our place, Mallets Bay VT

taken by son's wife in August, looking toward Plattsburgh NY and the Adirondacks:

The little line in the water just below the NY shoreline is the old railroad causeway, now a bike/hike trail, between Colchester Point VT on the left and South Hero (island) on the R (behind the branches), which goes all the way up to Canada. Lake Champlain is 110 mi long.

Beautiful this time of year, but in the winter it's wicked cold!
